A friend of mine turned me on to Tom Robbins and the genius inside the insanity of his approach to writing. This novel goes deep enough into the heart of love to bring the strongest of us to tears, while approaching its theme from a slapstick perspective. In my opinion, AMAZING! The inspiration for this song derives from the love the immortal Alobar and Kudra have for each other, the emotions Alobar feels when Kudra "crosses over" to the other side of existance, and Alobar's pursuit over centuries to find his eternal love...I know - it sounds all Danielle Steele like - but it's NOT! Once you dive into this book, you'll laugh yourself crazy and quickly understand why this novel inspired me so... |
