Other Worlds

I guess you can say that this is the tune that started me on the kick of putting myself in the first person narrative of books I love and writing from the main character's perspective. in 2000, I greatly needed something different to write about, picked a book which I've read and re-read, Stephen King's "The Gunslinger, Dark Tower 1" and within a 1/2 hour, Other Worlds was written.

I lost you long ago
Cause I reacted much too slow

I see that night like yesterday
I heard you scream and fall away
I felt the pull of darker eyes
I let you go cause in my mind

I believe there’s other worlds than these

You gave me harmony
You waited patiently

You deserved much more than me
You gave your life I turned to see
But now you’re gone and I’m withdrawn
Still I must keep on keeping on
