Paintbox
“Paintbox” is a song about peace.
"Paintbox"
A little girl, so innocent and ignorant and quaint
On a mission, to find a cure for boredom on that day
Searching through the attic with extreme determination
Looking for those toys with intense anticipation
Suddenly through that tiny window she did see
A beautiful horizon shining with tranquility
There is a paintbox, so simple in the eyes of you and me
But on the inside, are colors of a world that's meant to be
No black or grey of any sort to show a dying day
No red to show the blood of a wounded man in his dismay
Just colors of a world in plain serenity
Living in this happy world we're playing musically
Painting a world of colors
Painting a world of peace
This paintbox of life will show you
Our destiny, and how this world should be
That little girl, found that box of paints that afternoon
In it a lesson, that told us we should learn it very soon
She took that vision of the land she saw earlier that day
Took the colors of the good inside, knew what they would say
The green of earth, the blue of sky, the yellow of the sun
And all the colors of the world which help us to be one
And painted peace
Painting a world of colors
Painting a world of peace
This paintbox of life will show you
Our destiny, and how this world should be
My little girl, she went away, she went away when she was so young
